WWF PPV 99

- – 1999 Royal Rumble – -

Big Boss Man vs. Road Dogg- It should have been a hardcore match.
IC Title Match: Mr. Ass, Billy Gunn vs. Ken Shamrock
Euro Title Match: Gangrel vs. X-Pac
Women’s Title, Strap Match: Luna vs. Sable
WWF Title, “I Quit” Match: The Rock vs. Mankind- A Must See! An excellent match as many were expecting. At the end, The Rock game Mankind about 12 chair shots as Mankind was “a bloody mess”. These two had an awesome feud.
Royal Rumble- Mr. McMahon won the 1999 Royal Rumble by eliminating Steve Austin. Austin and Vince McMahon were numbers 1 and 2 into the Rumble but were not involved in the match much. Everyone thought that Austin would win for a 3rd straight time but were all fooled. They finally came back in at the end. Vince had quite the funny victory celebration.

(Home Video (VG/EX) or Live (VG))
Hardcore Title Match: Hardcore Holly vs. Al Snow vs. Billy Gunn

Brawl for All Match: Butterbean vs. Bart Gunn
Mankind vs. Big Show
IC Title Match: Road Dogg vs. Ken Shamrock vs. Goldust vs. Val Venis
Kane vs. Triple H- Kane came down before the match and was attacked from behind by a bird mascot. Kane took off the head and it was Pete Rose. He tombstoned Pete again for the 2nd WM in a row. Very Funny if you saw it live.
Title Match: Tori vs. Sable
Euro Title Match: X-Pac vs. Shane McMahon- HHH comes out and turns his back on X-Pac and breaking up DX for almost a year.
Hell In A Cell Match: Undertaker vs. Big Boss Man- Horrible match. This hurt the prestige of the Hell In A Cell match. Boss Man sucks.
WWF Title Match: Steve Austin vs. The Rock- Repeat ending from last year’s Wrestlemania Predictable ending. Good match though.
- – 1999 Backlash – -
April 25 in Providence, RI
(Home Video (VG/EX))
The Acolytes and Mideon vs. The Brood
Hardcore Title Match: Al Snow vs. Bob Holly
IC Title Match: Goldust vs. The Godfather- The Godfather was the IC champ only because he was over, not for his wrestling skills.
The New Age Outlaws vs. Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart
Boiler Room Brawl: Paul Wight vs. Mankind- Good match with some good bumps taken by both.
The Undertaker vs. Ken Shamrock- I was disappointed. I thought it would have been a better match than it was.
WWF Title Match: The Rock vs. Steve Austin- Good match again by both men. The Rock took the camera from the camera man and turned only to see Austin flip him off and received a stunner. Very funny.

(Live (G/VG))
Tag Team Title Match: Kane and X-Pac vs. D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry
Hardcore Match: Bob Holly vs. Al Snow
Jeff Jarrett vs. Val Venis
“Bad Ass” Billy Gunn vs. Road Dogg
Mankind, Paul Wight, Test, and Ken Shamrock vs. Viscera, Big Boss Man, and The Acolytes
The Rock vs. Triple H
WWF Title Match: Undertaker vs. Steve Austin- Undertaker wins the WWF title finally after a long drought but it came at a bad time as we learned that Owen Hart had passed away during this show after a botched stunt. Very disturbing evening/PPV. Keep in mind, the ONLY reason that I am offering this video for trade is because there was a WWF Title change, NOT because of the Owen Tragedy.

Iron Circle Match: Ken Shamrock vs. Steve Blackman
Road Dogg and X-Pac vs. Billy Gunn and Chyna
Strap Match: HHH vs. Rocky Maivia
WWF Title, First Blood Match: The Undertaker vs. Steve Austin- You can clearly see Austin blading. I read you could see UT also but I couldn’t find it.
- – 1999 SummerSlam – -
August 22 in Minneapolis, MN
(Home Video (VG/EX))
IC Title and Euro Title Match: Jeff Jarrett vs. D-Lo Brown- D-Lo goes in with both titles and Jeff Jarrett walks out with both. A lack of storyline had not too many people interested in this match.

Hardcore Title Match: Al Snow vs. The Big Boss Man
WWF Women’s Title Match: Tori vs. Ivory
Lion’s Den Weapons Match: Ken Shamrock vs. Steve Blackman

WWF Tag Team Title Match: The Undertaker and Paul Wight vs. Kane and X-Pac
Kiss My Ass Match: The Rock vs. Billy Gunn
WWF Title Match: Mankind vs. HHH vs. Steve Austin- Jesse Ventura was the referee as Mankind won the title for a 3rd time, only to lose it the next night on Raw to HHH. After this match, HHH beat up on Stone Cold.

Women’s Title Match: Fabulous Moolah vs. Ivory
The Hollys vs. New Age Outlaws
IC Title, Good Housekeeping Match: Chyna vs. Jeff Jarrett
The Bulldog vs. The Rock
Terri Invitational Ladder Match: Hardy Boys vs. Christian and Edge- Some say the greatest ladder match of all time. It might have been because you have 4 men in the ring, jumping all over the place. Awesome match.
Val Venis vs. Mankind
Bradshaw vs. Faarooq vs. X-Pac vs. Kane
WWF Title Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Triple H- Good match. Too bad Austin was out of action pretty much after this match.
- – 1999 Survivor Series – -
November 21 in Detroit, MI
(Home Video (VG/EX))
Godfather, D’Lo Brown, and The Headbangers vs. The Acolytes and The Dudley Boyz
Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Stasiak- It’s the debut of our Olympic Hero, the Olympic Gold Medalist.
Val Venis, Mark Henry, Gangrel, and Steve Blackman vs. The Bulldog, Joey Abs, Rodney, and Pete Gas
Ivory, Jacqueline, Luna, and Terri vs. Tori, Debra, Fabulous Moolah, and Mae Young
X-Pac vs. Kane
Big Boss Man, Prince Albert, Viscera, and Mideon vs. Big Show, Taka, Funaki, and Blue Meanie
They show a clip of a car hitting Austin and causing him to miss action for many months. He did not really get hit by a car (obviously) but they had to think of a reason to keep him from wrestling as he was having neck problems and numbness in his fingers. He later went on to have surgery on Jan. 17, 2000.
IC Title Match: Chris Jericho vs. Chyna
The Hollys and Too Cool vs. Edge, Christian, and the Hardys
Tag Team Title Match: Mankind and Al Snow vs. the New Age Outlaws
WWF Title Match: HHH vs. The Rock vs. the Big Show- It was scheduled as Steve Austin instead of the Big Show but Austin couldn’t go so the Big Show came in and won his first WWF championship as McMahon screwed HHH.
- – 1999 Armageddon – -
December 12 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
(Home Video (VG/EX))
Dudley Boys vs. Edge and Christian vs. Headbangers vs. Hardy Boys vs. Mean Street Posse vs. Too Cool vs. Godfather and Mark Henry vs. the Acolytes
Kurt Angle vs. Steve Blackman
- I like Kurt Angle as he comes out to rip the home town.
Women’s Title, Evening Gown Match : Miss Kitty vs. Jacqueline vs. B.B. vs. Ivory- After the bad match, Miss Kitty flashes the crowd for about a second. Mae Young almost did the same.
Rikishi and Viscera vs. The Hollys
Euro Title Match: Val Venis vs. The Bulldog vs. D’Lo Brown
Cage Match: X-Pac vs. Kane- I expected better from these two.
IC Title: Chris Jericho vs. Chyna- Another good match by these two as Jericho really makes Chyna look like a decent competitor. Jericho wins his first WWF Gold by having Chyna submit to the Walls of Jericho.
Tag Team Title Match: The Rock and Mankind vs. the New Age Outlaws
WWF Title Match: Boss Man vs The Big Show- Horrible match as I still can’t believe Boss Man had a title match on PPV.
Street Fight: Vince McMahon vs. HHH- Good, long, hardcore match. In the end, Stephanie McMahon turns on Vince and joins up with HHH to become one of the most hated couples in wrestling history. Didn’t surprise too many people with that angle but it still was a good one. She sure plays a better heel than that lame face.
